The CanPak Association of Hamilton is a vibrant and forward-thinking organization with a strong focus on fostering a more unified and inclusive community. Our core values center around promoting multiculturalism, encouraging community involvement, and enhancing social empowerment. Our primary mission encompasses a range of initiatives, including providing assistance to seniors, contributing to the Food Bank, organizing and advocating for multicultural events, empowering women, and fostering connections among individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Shahnaz Tehseen

Founder Director | President of CanPak Association of Hamilton

Realtor, Educator, Braillist, Event Planner & Entrepreneur

Shahnaz Tehseen is a passionate and self-motivated professional with extensive experience in real estate, education, and community engagement. She is the CEO of SHAZ Investments Inc. and a realtor with Century 21 People’s Choice Realty. Her career spans a variety of roles, including braillist, educational assistant, and language instructor, as well as significant volunteer leadership positions across several community organizations in Ontario.

With a strong commitment to Special Education, Diversity, Equity, Women Empowerment, and Cultural Enrichment, Shahnaz is an advocate for inclusive community development. She has worked with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board, the CNIB, and other organizations to support individuals with disabilities. She holds various certifications, including a realtor license, conflict resolution, and multiple braille certifications. Her awards include the 2023 Order of the Hamilton award, the 2021 Entrepreneur award from CPACT, and several community engagement and women empowerment recognitions. In addition, Shahnaz is involved in various community and professional boards, actively contributing to cultural and social initiatives across Ontario. Hobbies & Interests: Shahnaz enjoys brailling, teaching, traveling, cooking, sewing, reading, and engaging in community social work. She is also passionate about philosophy, psychology, and educational research. Certifications & Education: Realtor License, OREA Braille Transcriber/Proofreader (CNIB, Pakistan) Conflict Resolution, Mohawk College Sign Language, Mohawk College BA, Karachi University Numerous special needs and assistive technology certifications Awards & Recognition: 2023 Order of the Hamilton award 2021 Entrepreneur award, CPACT 2020 Women Empowerment award, PBA Multiple community service awards and certifications from local government and organizations.

Zahid Butt

Founder Director | Chairman, CanPak Association of Hamilton

Zahid Butt is the President of ONDP Hamilton East Stoney Creek riding and is a distinguished community leader. He is the Founder Director and President of the Pakistan Business Association of Hamilton (PBA) and also serves as the Founder Director and Chair of CanPak Association of Hamilton. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Zahid Butt was honored with the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Award in 2012 for his role as a dedicated community activist.

In addition to his involvement with the PBA, Zahid Butt also serves as the Founder Director and Chairman of the CanPak Association of Hamilton. This organization, founded and led by him, is dedicated to promoting cultural exchange and unity among residents. Through CanPak, Zahid has facilitated numerous cultural events, celebrations, and initiatives that have helped bring together people from diverse backgrounds and promote understanding and harmony.

Zahid Butt's commitment to community development and integration has not gone unnoticed. In recognition of his outstanding contributions and unwavering dedication to the betterment of society, he was honored with the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Award in 2012. This award symbolizes his role as a dedicated community activist who has made a lasting impact on the lives of many in Hamilton.

At the core of Zahid's mission is the belief in building bridges and fostering a sense of belonging within the Pakistani-Canadian community. His efforts extend beyond politics and business; they are deeply rooted in a desire to create a more inclusive and harmonious society. Through his leadership roles in various associations and organizations, Zahid Butt continues to inspire and drive positive change, leaving a lasting legacy of unity and community empowerment in Hamilton.

Our Mission

Our mission is the driving force behind everything we do.

Food Bank:

Providing Halal food & other food products to low income people and homeless in collaboration with other Food Banks in Hamilton and surrounding areas.

Multicultural Activities:

Collaborate City of Hamilton in multicultural activities. Celebrate and coordinate in Multicultural Events to promote and respect diversity initiatives with Hamilton City Hall.

Women Empowerment:

Celebrating International Women Day event every year in March emphasizing Women Empowerment to recognized Women Activities in community projects. Promoting small business and supporting Women Shelter institute.

Community Engagement:

Focused on needs and demands of community in various projects such as helping new immigrants families, fundraising for needy families in community, Community counselling services and organizing community networking events to create positive climate and harmony among community members of Hamilton and surrounding areas. Working collaboratively with Community Partner organizations.
